- I love books that are tender to its most hurt characters and this one is good at that.
- Artistically it was amazing and interesting, it feels very much anchored to the time when it was published.
- I was made uncomfortable by the flipness with which sexual violence is treated.
- I both liked and was saddened by how the two girls talked to each other. I think it’s more indicative of how men think women relate than how they actually do.
- Scarlet Johansson was an excellent casting choice.

Five Things about Giant Days Vol. 2 & 3 by John Allison, Lissa Treiman,Whitney Cogar
- I still love the girls, their friendship is absolutely beautiful.
- It is a bit confusing how much are we to believe that the strange things that happen are product of their enhanced imagination or if we are supposed to believe there is a degree of fantasy in their world.
- I find Mc Graw so attractive, it is worrisome.
- It does feel, at time, that the story is just going on with no real nort. I wished there was some other plot other than “their lives.”
- The development of the side characters is spot on.
Five Things about Giant Days Vol. 1 by John Allison, Lissa Treiman,Whitney Cogar
- Again, this book came to me through the recommendation of a friend to whom the characters in the book reminded him of some of my friends and me. He was not wrong.
- The illustrations are adorable and the characters are thoroughly thought out. There is a lovely attention to detail to them.
- The main characters are compelling, interesting, and wonderfully human.
- It could use some more diversity.
- I really enjoyed the way they are approaching themes like drug abuse and aproximations to religions and occult arts. I look forward to how this will develop as the story move on.
